Michael Shane Levy began his real estate career working at his family’s residential real estate company in New York during summer breaks while attending college at Binghamton University. After graduating with a B.A. in English, Michael Shane joined forces with a nationwide realty firm and quickly became a top producing agent.
After several successful years of leading his team, Michael Shane’s appetite to expand his field of knowledge drove him into the Manhattan commercial real estate market where he began his career in corporate real estate advisory services as an Associate with The Galbreath Company representing tenants and landlords in the Financial District.
Recognized as a leader in the industry, in 1999 Michael Shane was recruited by Newmark as Managing Director overseeing a portfolio of over 4 million square feet of downtown office space. Working with New York City’s top designers, architects, engineers and construction firms, Michael Shane’s knowledge and understanding of both the aesthetic and business sides of a transaction creates added value for the clients and companies he represents.
In 2005, Michael Shane relocated his family to Florida and became Managing Partner and Team Leader of Keller Williams Realty South Shore recruiting and training over 60 agents and running day-to-day operations of the company as its principal broker.
Never one to rest on his laurels, in 2010 Michael Shane decided to branch out on his own and launch The Michael Shane Group, Inc. d/b/a Michael Shane Luxury Residences servicing both the residential and commercial needs of his clients. Michael Shane’s mission is to continuously provide expert services from start to finish helping individuals and families sell and purchase their residential and business properties.
Previously a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR), Michael Shane is currently a member of the Miami Association of Realtors (MAR) and Greater Tampa Realtors (GTR) as well as the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
In addition to his real estate expertise, Michael Shane is a classically trained pianist and jazz musician and enjoys music, the performing arts, sailing and boating.
